Job Title: Senior Automotive CAD Artist (full time, office based) £33k-£45k

As a Senior Automotive CAD Artist at FUZE Studio, you'll be vital in bringing our clients' visions to life. You will be a crucial part of our team, independently responsible for transforming high complexity OEM quality CAD data into optimised and textured models for various visualisation platforms, including Cinema4d and 3ds Max with Corona Renderer and Unreal Engine.

 

Location:

This role is based in our office in the West Midlands, situated between Solihull and Redditch (south of Birmingham), close to the M42 motorway. While primarily office-based, we offer flexibility to accommodate varying life circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

CAD Data Preparation: optimize, resurface, and remodel CAD data for seamless integration into CGI projects.

Materials and Shaders Preparation: develop realistic materials and shaders.

Texturing: apply lifelike textures to CGI models ensuring consistency with real-world counterparts.

UV Mapping: perform UV mapping to ensure proper texture application and alignment on CGI models.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in CGI production in a senior or lead role.

Proficiency in CAD data preparation, including optimization, resurfacing, and modelling.

Good understanding of both materials and shaders to create realistic textures and UV mapping processes for proper texture application and alignment.

Preparing CGI assets for Cinema4d with Corona Renderer and Unreal Engine.

Passion for automotive visualization and the automotive industry.

Job Description:

As a Senior Environment Artist at FUZE Studio, you will play a pivotal role in creating immersive and realistic environments for automotive CGI projects. Working closely with our team of artists and directors, you will be responsible for designing and executing environments that complement and enhance our clients' visions. This includes creating landscapes, urban environments, and interior/exterior scenes to showcase vehicles in captivating settings.

Location:

Conceptualize and create visually stunning environments that align with project requirements and artistic vision.

Model and texture various environmental elements, including terrain, buildings, foliage, and props.

Collaborate closely with other artists and directors to ensure cohesive integration of environments with CGI assets.

Optimize environment assets for performance and visual fidelity across different platforms.

Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance environmental rendering techniques.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as an environment artist in the CGI industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work.

Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Cinema4d and/or 3ds Max, with Corona Renderer.

Must have expertise in setting up environments in Unreal Engine.

Expertise in texture creation and material development for environmental assets.

Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and color theory to create visually compelling environments.

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
